Export events from a camera over a date range
Export events from a camera over a date range
Use this procedure when you need a record of all events from a single camera between two timestamps — for a weekly incident report, a monthly audit, or a handover to an investigator.
Procedure
- Open the Events page.
- In the filter bar, set Camera to the single camera you want.
- Set Date range using the From and To date pickers.
- Optionally narrow further with Site, Trigger type, Severity, or Status filters.
- Click the Download (CSV) button at the top right.
- Save the file when your browser prompts.
The CSV contains event ID, camera name, trigger type, severity, AI description, timestamp, tags, acknowledgement state, and notes.
What the export does not include
The CSV is metadata only. It does not include the MP4 clips themselves. To download clips, open each event and click Download on the player, or use the clip share feature.
Bulk download of clips as a ZIP of MP4s is not available in v1.
Common variations
- Full year report: export month-by-month. A 12-month export will almost always hit the 10,000-row cap on a working camera.
- Exclude motion noise: set Trigger type to
AIorManualonly before exporting. Motion-only events are usually the bulk of the noise.
If this didn’t work
- If the Download button is greyed out, narrow the date range — an empty result set disables export.
- If the CSV opens with garbled characters, your spreadsheet tool is not reading UTF-8. Import the file and specify UTF-8 encoding.
