For viewers

This section is for people who have been given access to NovaVMS to watch cameras but do not configure anything. Someone (your admin) sent you an invitation, you accept it, and from then on you can see the cameras and events they share with you. If you also configure cameras, alert rules, or saved views, you are an operator instead.

Start with this flow

1. Accept your invitation
2. Find your assigned cameras
3. Watch a live camera
4. Find a recorded clip
5. Receive and review an alert
6. Reset your password

Common urgent tasks

• Watch a live camera — see what is happening right now.
• Find a recorded clip — go back and review what happened.
• Receive and acknowledge an alert — respond when something fires.

If something is broken

• Live view is black
• Invitation link expired
• Invitation email did not arrive
• I cannot sign in
• I cannot see a site I expect
